A Message from the Dean

A personal message from Dean Barua.
With our Innovation Ecosystem, we are looking at how to better support innovation in the student experience.
We’ve invested in and prioritized developing an ECS Innovation Ecosystem, which will involve launching and coordinating curricular and co-curricular experiences that prepare our students for the fast-paced, ever-changing tech and engineering fields they enter upon graduation.
Dean Susan Barua explains the college’s focus on developing workforce-prepared graduates ready to lead in an era of rapid technological change
From our technical point of view, we need to understand and pay attention to how we make design solutions so that we don’t disenfranchise people.
As we reflect on the challenges of a truly unique year, I am so proud of how our students, faculty, staff, and CSUF community continued to innovate and show extraordinary leadership.
In these times, it is important to remember that engineers and computer scientists – including many of our alumni – play an essential role in responding to this crisis and will continue to keep people safe and healthy.
Building on the successful model we have developed with the ECS Center for Cybersecurity, the college is proud to announce a new Center for Navigation.
The College of Engineering & Computer Science has always been known for providing students with the skills and experiences they need to become masters in their fields.
