As we reflect on the challenges of a truly unique year, I am so proud of how our students, faculty, staff, and CSUF community continued to innovate and show extraordinary leadership.

Our students have risen above the incredible obstacles posed by the pandemic, persisting in their studies, pursuing opportunities for professional and academic development, contributing to exceptional research, and even competing in cybersecurity challenges. Faculty continued developing and leading projects designed to address fundamental societal challenges and community health, increasing access to programs that promote inclusivity and entrepreneurship in computer science and engineering, and conducting original research to advance knowledge in their fields. Support from the ECS College Leadership Council and our professional partners throughout Orange County has been essential to our students’ continued growth and success, and their commitment has never wavered.

Our staff met every technical and logistical challenge to aid our students’ academic progress. Our alumni have continued to contribute to initiatives with lasting impact on our communities, our country, and even outer space!

As we look to the future, our college has no plans of slowing down. In fact, we have Big Ideas and significant opportunities to transform educational accessibility in our region. Support for students and faculty from the Titan alumni family and corporate partners will continue to be integral to sustaining the interdisciplinary faculty and student research, professional development programs, and immersive educational experiences that define the College of Engineering & Computer Science.

Thank you for your continued contributions and encouragement as we forge ahead.
